Title: Poseable Jointed Plush Bunnies
Media: Fabric and sewing, wire armature in limbs and ears, plastic joints in limbs and neck, needle sculpted face.
Notes: Pattern designed from scratch. :3 I did the photography too, with my brother's assistance.

Here's some more photos from the process. They took over a month to make.

They're each made of fleece for the most part with fabric accents on their paw-tips, ears, and tails. I emroidered their noses and tried doing a little bit of needle sculpting to put a bit more definition into their faces. There are plastic joints in the neck and limbs to let them be posed freely and I even worked some rather complex wire armature into the limbs and ears so they have even freedom of movement.

My brother loaned me his camera and expertise to help take some of the shots and set up the lighting (Thanks Ian!). I also took a bunch just messing around with the point-and-shoot digital camera to see what that got so these are a mix of both.

This next one was from an earlier set-up I liked but wasn't quite appropriate for the shot I was intending to create for a contest. Water balloon vs comic book - le gasp! (Also the first web appearance, such as it is, of the mini comic I made some months back...)

I actually got him to balance while holding a water balloon -with actual water!- here for an alternate shot. Plushie armature when it works is actually pretty cool even if I had only some wild guesses how to go about it when I started.

Posing! Even though they'll mostly stand on their own I had to pin their feet to the carpet so they wouldn't topple every time I went to make an adjustment. This also gives you a bit of an idea of their scale.

And this might be my favourite shot of the pair just because of its simplicity.
