Media: Digital, built over pencil sketch [April 2008] Notes: After working on my comic challenge 'RAWR' I wanted to see if I could get some solid practice doing better cityscapes and this picture certainly gave me that opportunity! So many layers of textures and shadows~! I also tried a 'mushier' style of painting for this where the outlines of objects are just blocked out and then I freehand in rough outlines and shapes. These then get built up with layers of paint and refinement to clean them up a lot. Its pretty time consuming when you're not used to it but I think it'll give me some pretty solid results once I have more practice. Parkour/Free Running is such an incredible thing too. (This was part of the governing description for the picture) I'm only sad that I was too burnt out by the end of the picture to add the pigeons I wanted to. Status: Available for adoption! Back
